The interdisciplinary degree programme in Health Economics provides you with essential skills in the areas of management and economics in health care, while also considering the aspects of entrepreneurial sustainability and medical perspectives (see also ‘Course content’).
The multidimensional view of health care, which links social, economic and medical aspects of health, makes the course of study very versatile and interesting.
During your studies, you will be prepared to identify social and socio-political problems, analyse concepts in the field of health care and independently develop solutions for health economic tasks.
To ensure that you are best prepared for your professional life, practical relevance and practical experience are particularly important to us. For this reason, the course includes a practical semester or, alternatively, a semester abroad, as well as a project module in which you can work on interesting projects with health care facilities in the region. The entire course of study is characterised by practice-relevant content that relates to interdisciplinary issues.
After completing your studies, there are a wide range of career opportunities (see ‘Prospects in the labour market’) in health care, as you have a broad knowledge and interface-related skills.
