The bachelor's degree programme in Management of Sustainable Innovations in Health Care

As part of our interdisciplinary degree programme ‘Management of Sustainable Innovations in Health Care’, you will deal intensively with sustainable data use and evaluation, gain valuable start-up skills and discuss the concept of sustainability in the context of future technological developments. A special feature of the programme is the start-up competition, in which you will be able to present your ideas to experts and, if necessary, develop them further.

In recent years, numerous opportunities have been created in the healthcare system to address current challenges by means of new forms of care, digital processes and technological innovations. In addition to economic issues, social and ecological issues are becoming increasingly important. This is where our degree programme ‘Management of Sustainable Innovations in Health Care’ comes in. It sees the challenges as opportunities for a sustainable transformation of the health care system and aims to provide you with the tools to actively shape this transformation.

The degree programme is designed to prepare you for the complexity and dynamics of the health care system and has three main focuses:

  • 1. Health data and its use: This degree programme will enable you to analyse health data in a well-founded manner and to use it actively to improve the healthcare system and healthcare provision. After all, data is the currency of the 21st century in the healthcare system, too!
  • 2. Innovations, new technologies and start-up skills: You will sharpen your eye for technical and digital innovations, get to know new technologies in health care and also be encouraged to develop ideas for sustainable innovations in health care yourself in specific courses on how to set up a company.
  • 3. Comprehensive training in methods: You will learn about various scientific and project management methods that will enable you to proactively contribute to improving the healthcare system and support you in your future professional activities in a rapidly developing system.
